FaktorTel's Network Status
The following are network status indicators for each section of the network. Due to the complexity and redundancy of the network, a FAILED indicator may not mean that you have definitely lost service. In most cases your calls will simply be re-routed around the problematic area. This service is provided to assist customers in diagnosing faults on their network by knowing more about what is happening on the FaktorTel network.

01 / 09 / 2010 @ 12:56pm: Poor Call Quality from Telstra Customers.
FaktorTel is currently investigating a call quality issue which is affecting Telstra Broadband and Business Broadband customers.It appears that Telstra customers are experiencing packet loss to the FaktorTel network which, as a result, is likely to be causing poor quality audio.
Carriers have been notifed of the issue and we are awaiting response from the IP Transit NOC's
No ETA currently exists on resolution of this issue.
Recommendation - Change to alternate ISP, if possible / available.

FaktorTel has been advised that our carriers have switched routes away from the Telstra interconnect, however the issue is still occurring. FaktorTel Transit Carriers are currently working with Telstra engineers to track down and correct the issue.01 / 09 / 2010 @ 4:00pm: Update
